GWTS conducted a survey of wind environment regulations for 109 cities around the world. Many cities were found to have little to no mention of wind controls or inadequate consideration.
The deleterious effects of wind in urban environments can have a direct impact on a range of factors such as:
- - the safety of pedestrians and
- - the viability of street-level businesses.
The GWTS Wind Environment Awareness Initiative (GWEAI) has thus been implemented to bring about an understanding of the urban wind environment to regulatory bodies, helping them to safely shape their urban developments.
If you are interested in the wind environment initiative, please register through the form to arrange a live or online presentation with us.
